Privacy Policy, UK GDPR information, Cookie Policy, Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy for Children's Critical Care.
Children's Critical Care ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard information you provide when registering for our courses or contacting us.
We retain delegate records for a minimum of seven years to support accreditation and professional development verification. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us, subject to our legal retention obligations. Further detail is provided in the Your Data & UK GDPR section below.
Under UK GDPR you have a number of rights over your personal data. These are set out in full, together with how to exercise them, in the Your Data & UK GDPR section below.
Our website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function and to keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This section explains, in plain terms, who is responsible for your data, why we hold it, the legal basis for doing so, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you.
Children's Critical Care is the data controller for the personal data you provide. For any data protection query, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact our data protection point of contact at info@childrenscriticalcare.org.
We deliberately keep the personal data we hold to the minimum needed to run our training courses. This typically includes your name, professional role, employer, email address and - where you provide them - your telephone number, dietary and accessibility requirements, and feedback responses.
Delegate and certificate records are retained for a minimum of seven years to support accreditation and continuing professional development verification, and to meet UK financial record-keeping requirements. Enquiry messages sent through our contact form are kept only as long as needed to deal with your query. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. When data is no longer required it is securely deleted.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver our service - for example with ESPNIC for accreditation purposes, with our secure email and hosting providers acting as our processors, and where we are required to do so by law. All processors are bound by appropriate data protection terms.
Your data is stored on secure servers. Where any processor operates outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses) are in place.
To exercise any right, email info@childrenscriticalcare.org. We will respond within one month, as required by law. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would, however, welcome the chance to resolve your concern directly first.
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy explains which cookies we use and why. We take a privacy-first approach: we use only what is strictly necessary for the website to work.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, social media pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you. We do not sell or share any browsing data.
Because we use only essential cookies, the site relies on them to operate. You can still control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can re-open our cookie notice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site (such as secure sign-in) from working.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
These terms govern your registration and attendance at Children's Critical Care training events. By completing a registration you agree to these terms.
All registrations are subject to availability. A place is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to decline any registration at our discretion.
Course fees are due in full at the time of registration unless a purchase order arrangement has been agreed in advance. All prices are quoted inclusive of any stated inclusions (handbooks, e-learning access) and exclude travel, accommodation and subsistence unless expressly stated.
Delegate substitutions are permitted at any time at no additional charge. Please notify us by email as soon as possible so we can update our records.
We reserve the right to alter course content, faculty, venue or timing for operational or clinical reasons. We will notify registered delegates as soon as practicable. We do not accept liability for travel or accommodation costs incurred as a result of such changes.
In the event that we cancel a course for any reason, registered delegates will receive a full refund of all fees paid. We are not liable for any other costs incurred by delegates.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a course is limited to the fees paid by the delegate for that course.
We understand that circumstances change. The following cancellation and refund schedule applies to all course registrations.
The ESPNIC e-platform licence fee (where included in your course fee) is non-refundable once access credentials have been issued, regardless of when the cancellation is made. This is a condition imposed by ESPNIC and is beyond our control.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@childrenscriticalcare.org. The date of cancellation is the date on which we receive your written notification. Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of confirmation.
Failure to attend without prior written cancellation is treated as a late cancellation and no refund will be issued.
